bitBiome
3.5 billion years of evolution at our fingertips
For bitBiome's U.S. debut, we built a profound brand story about why nature’s wisdom matters and how we can use microbes to usher in a new era of health for our planet.
The Opportunity
bitBiome had used their proprietary single-cell sequencing technology for microbes to build a massively diverse database of sequences and hone their enzyme engineering technology. As a Japanese company, their next step was to make an entrance on the American scene, with a reinvigorated presence that would position them as a key player.
The Work
We built bitBiome’s brand on a foundation of their deepest values: a profound respect for nature and a deeply held conviction in microbes’ role in shaping our planet’s future. Their persona struck a balance between innovative and reverent, expressed through stories that sparked intrigue and conveyed a quiet but powerful sense of purpose.
We partnered with ICS to bring the new brand vision to life on the fully revamped website, including an immersive, story-driven homepage and case studies that showcased the tangible results that working with bitBiome’s team and technology could bring.
We continued to partner with bitBiome’s leadership team to build and share the bitBiome story through a reimagined pitch deck, conference materials, messaging frameworks, and press releases.

As scientists, we often think that presenting facts or data should be enough, but we were not attracting the level of interest that we expected. Hannah was able to create a vision and story for our company that brought to life what we knew we had but couldn’t effectively communicate to our customer base. Her ability to highlight our technology and—more importantly—articulate our mission was critical to our development as a company and has already resulted in outreach from multiple investment firms.
